Make-A-Wish Canada has granted over 34,000 wishes since 1983 to courageous children across the country with the help of over 2000 volunteers.

Wishes are funded from individual donations, special events, corporate donations and sponsorships, workplace giving donations, foundation grants, and a fundraising program in schools.

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope – a powerful combination that may lead to better health outcomes. Such transformative moments are shared by wish families, Make-A-Wish staff, volunteers, and everyone involved.
